Sonic log pipes
PVC sonic log pipes, allow to check the porosity and the cementation quality in piles and diaphragms.
In homogeneous concrete, the propagation speed of sound, is approximately 4000m/s
In case of defects, soil inclusions, cracks or non homogeneous concrete, this velocity rapidly decrease
inserting in two different pipes, an emitter and a receiver, you can measure this speed, and asses the cast quality .
During installation, the pipes must be fixed to the reinforcement cage, by means of steel wire or plastic band.
